Bob Hook Chevrolet is seeking a Controller for our office at 4144 Bardstown Road. Our CFO is transitioning to a part time role but will remain at the company and help guide this transition, but automotive dealership experience is an absolute requirement for this position.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

Essential Duties include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Responsible for manufacturer A/R including warranty and rebates
• Timely filing of IRS Form 8300 and Form 1099
• Promote best practices and internal controls among all office staff and department managers
• Work closely with CFO, Dealer and General Manager
• Ensure timely and accurate general ledger balances and reporting.
• Monitor and reconcile accounting schedules.
• Assist with preparation of monthly financial statements.
• Assist in supervising office employees to ensure productivity and job satisfaction.
• Post new and used vehicle sales. Keep vehicle schedules up to date.
• Assist office team with the processing of cash/check payment from vendors and reconciliation of cash receipts daily.
• File within appropriate file system all dealership forms, records, reports, correspondence, or other important material.

Qualifications Required
Minimum 5 years accounting experience (automotive dealership experience required)
Successful experience in managing people and accounting functions. DMS experience (CDK is a plus)
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
